For hours you would paddle the water in the bath tub
With spoons and cups
And watch the waves hit and return and form patterns.
You loved to be quiet
And to sit and watch and watch and watch from our balcony.
You never demanded much.
But you were very particular about your preferences.
You were such a good boy.
You would unscrew your toys and assemble them back.
I know you want to flee somewhere.
Yes. Go.
Yes, you angelic innocent being, go.
To where ever your heart wishes -
Go hide somewhere in a burrow
And play with your solar cells.
You are mostly useless when
It comes to taking sides
In peoples' quarrels.
Nobody will
miss you.
No. So,
Go.
With spoons and cups
And watch the waves hit and return and form patterns.
You loved to be quiet
And to sit and watch and watch and watch from our balcony.
You never demanded much.
But you were very particular about your preferences.
You were such a good boy.
You would unscrew your toys and assemble them back.
I know you want to flee somewhere.
Yes. Go.
Yes, you angelic innocent being, go.
To where ever your heart wishes -
Go hide somewhere in a burrow
And play with your solar cells.
You are mostly useless when
It comes to taking sides
In peoples' quarrels.
Nobody will
miss you.
No. So,
Go.

ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteThis one was entirely another thing.
Were you aiming for the pictorial form, how it tapers off in the end?
Very well done.
